CEDA Emergency Response Team (CERT) specializes in emergency response services for hazardous materials in Western Canada. Since its inception in 1988, CERT has responded to more than 5000 emergencies in Alberta and British Columbia. These emergencies range from super “B” tank truck rollovers, multi-railcar derailments to unknown chemical spills and oil tank spills. CERT is a Canadian Emergency Response Contractors Alliance (CERCA) verified emergency response service provider, with highly trained specialists capable of responding to all nine classes of dangerous goods including radioactive materials, unstable and explosive chemicals and bio-hazardous waste.

HIGHLY TRAINED SPECIALISTS

CERT specialists are certified to respond to all nine classes of dangerous goods and associated wastes. CERT specialists are trained in all levels of personal protective equipment from Level A to Level D as well as the use of respirators and self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Our specialists are also trained to use specialized safety equipment including gas detection instrumentation, photo ionization detection, radiation detection equipment and specialized response equipment. CERT also provides training services to our clients including TDG, First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, SCBA and hazardous materials awareness and operations.
